Situation Report #4: Ebola Outbreak in Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo

This Situation Report provides the latest updates on the Ebola outbreak in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), including the evolving epidemiological situation, our response activities and priority funding needs. 

As the outbreak continues to spread across multiple provinces, Corus organization IMA World Health is working alongside the Ministry of Health to strengthen infection prevention and control (IPC), support quarantine and case management, train frontline health workers, and expand community engagement efforts to help slow transmission while maintaining essential health services. 

The report also highlights how IMA World Health and Corus International are supporting frontline health facilities, working with trusted local leaders to strengthen community-based surveillance and response, and using innovative communication approaches to help combat misinformation.
