Nicole Hark is Senior Regional Director for Asia and the Middle East, leading Lutheran World Relief's strategy and operations in the region. Her portfolio includes coastal and flood resilience as well as climate change adaptation initiatives, rural livelihoods and agro-enterprise development, humanitarian assistance for refugee, IDPs and host communities in complex humanitarian crises, and emergency response.
Nicole began working with Lutheran World Relief in 2011 after working for two years with the Center for Democracy and Elections Management on U.S. Department of State-funded initiatives around civic engagement, election education and election observation programs in the Middle East. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Near and Middle Eastern Studies from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Arts in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from American University.
