Loretta Ishida oversees a team that supports operations of Corus International’s overseas offices, assisting in the start-up and closure of offices or large programs, coordinating financial oversight and supporting country teams to maintain legal registration and other agreements. The team serves as a hub between country offices and various headquarters teams related to budgeting, internal audits, and the dissemination and implementation of policies and procedures.
Loretta joined Corus subsidiary Lutheran World Relief in 2012 after working for five years with Catholic Relief Services. Her international development experience had included a variety of roles including program management, monitoring and evaluation, humanitarian response, and office operations. She has worked in Benin, Mali and Cote d’Ivoire and has provided support to many countries including Pakistan, Indonesia, Haiti, Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
Loretta was a Peace Corps volunteer in Cote d’Ivoire. She has a Bachelor of Arts in zoology and environmental studies from Ohio Wesleyan University, and a Master of Science in Resource Development from Michigan State University.
