Loretta Ishida
Associate Vice President, Operational Effectiveness & Development
Loretta Ishida oversees systems to ensure the smooth operations of our country offices. In that role, she serves as a coordinator between the International Programs and Operations Department and other Corus departments. She manages the teams who lead Corus’ procurement and security, ensures program and operations related policies and procedures are up to date, understood by staff, and implemented consistently, and coordinates departmental budget and financial management.
Loretta joined Corus subsidiary Lutheran World Relief in 2012. Her international development experience had included a variety of roles including program management, monitoring and evaluation, humanitarian response, and office operations. She has worked in Benin, Mali and Cote d’Ivoire and has provided support to many countries including Pakistan, Indonesia, Haiti, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
Loretta was a Peace Corps volunteer in Cote d’Ivoire. She has a Bachelor of Arts in zoology and environmental studies from Ohio Wesleyan University, and a Master of Science in Resource Development from Michigan State University.
