Sept. 12 was a beautiful day for a picnic on the lawn at IMA World Health’s office in New Windsor, Maryland.
A highlight of the gathering was the conclusion of the now famous – or infamous – SMT Challenge, which raised money for IMA’s Employees Helping Employees (EHE) group. Staff came prepared with cash in hand to stuff the jars of the members of IMA’s Senior Management Team, awarding the senior manager with the most funds raised a pie in the face!
Tracey Stevens, IMA’s CFO, was the chosen one, outraising the second-place senior manager by almost double. In a fun twist of fate, she proposed a counter-offer for which she made a generous donation to EHE and was awarded the pleasure of pie-ing not one, but TWO good-natured IMA staff!
Thanks goes out to Doug Gorsuch, Senior Director of Administration, and Chris Glass, Associate Director of Communications, for their participation in this activity, to Tracey for her fundraising spirit, and to everyone who donated to EHE. This EHE fundraiser was the most successful yet, raising a total of $672, bringing the current total to $968.
EHE is an employee led committee to assist field staff with financial needs after experiencing a disaster. The committee was first organized in 2010 to assist IMA’s Haitian employees after the devastating earthquake that struck Port-au-Prince.
