he path to justice requires persistence. IMA World Health has been a persistent voice for the world’s poorest communities for almost 60 years, ensuring access to quality medical care is available for all. We have learned to take the long view, committing to the generational work that our vision promises: health, healing and well-being for all.
Here’s a look back at our path of persistence.
Former IMA Executive Director Paul Derstine was instrumental in helping IMA World Health evolve from being an agency that supported logistics, to becoming an operational, comprehensive public health agency in its own right. Here, Paul describes the origin and evolution of IMA World Health.
Partnership with our faith-based Member agencies is a priority as we strive to advance health in the developing world, where faith-based organizations continue to provide large portions of available health care. Together, IMA and our nine Members fund health programs, share resources, collaborate on projects and work to give a voice to some of the most vulnerable people in the world.
