Brethren churches have partnered with IMA World Health for decades, to bring health, healing and well-being to all God’s children.
The Church of the Brethren is an integral part of the IMA World Health mission. From warehousing IMA medical supplies in the New Windsor, Md. warehouse to saving lives in our response to the 2014 Ebola outbreak, Brethren congregations rely on IMA World Health.
IMA World Health joined other agencies who responded to the 2014 Ebola outbreak on Capitol Hill to bring lessons learned and consider better ways of responding to crises in the future. Church of the Brethren congregations were instrumental in emboldening IMA’s response to the deadly epidemic.
See why Church of the Brethren congregant Jan Flora chooses IMA World Health because of our focus on establishing sustainable health systems in communities in need.
Additionally, Church of the Brethren executives participate in IMA World Health’s governance. Roy Winter, Associate Executive Director, Global Mission and Service, served as IMA Board secretary for many years and continues to serve as the Church’s member representative.
