IMA World Health is focused on advancing health and healing the world over – but we know we can't do it alone. Individuals, families, churches, nonprofits, and governments all play vital roles in the planning and execution of projects that affect the health of entire communities. In our long history we’ve learned that the health programs achieving the greatest success are those that make the best use of true partnerships, utilizing the strengths of a variety of highly skilled people and organizations.

These are our partners . . .

Donors Like You

The work of IMA World Health would not be possible without your generous gifts. We are continuing to "advance health and healing the world over" with the support of individuals, churches, businesses, foundations, schools and others.

Whether you write a personal check, hold a fundraiser at your church or school, or volunteer for one of our hands-on projects, please accept our deep gratitude for helping to improve health care for hurting people in developing communities.

Founding Partners

Our commitment to partnerships and to faith-based health organizations is part of our DNA. Twelve organizations partnered together in 1960 to form INTERCHURCH MEDICAL ASSISTANCE, INC.® for the purpose of supplying medicines and products to church medical missions and emergency health care programs around the world. Today, our work has expanded to include impacting entire health care systems through training, education, management, modeling and oversight. All twelve founding partners continue as member agencies in INTERCHURCH MEDICAL ASSISTANCE, INC.® as we work together to meet the tremendous health care needs of people in developing nations.

Christian Health Associations/Faith-based Partners

Faith-based health facilities and programs provide between 30% and 60% of health care in developing countries. In addition to delivery of basic health care services, faith-based organizations play a crucial role in community health education.

In most of Africa, faith-based health providers have formed umbrella groups called Christian Health Associations (CHAs), which work collaboratively to improve the health and well-being of individuals and families in their communities. CHAs are a critical vehicle for fostering local partnerships among faith-based organizations.

IMA World Health works in partnership with Christian Health Associations and other faith-based organizations. We assess the strengths and needs of in-country partners, strengthen local leadership and existing health care structures, and provide assistance that is designed to outlive our involvement.

We are most grateful for their trust and confidence in our ability to put medicines into the hands of those who need them most.
